D. Neil McDonnell is a recognized leader in the Canadian technology space and is currently Chair of Photon Control Inc., (TSX:PHO), Director of Nanotech Security Corp and Chair of BasicGov Systems, Inc. He is past Chair of Agreement Express Inc., Director of Aprio Inc., Chair of EDP Software Inc, Director of Espial Group Inc., Executive Chair of ResponseTek Networks Corp., Director of Symbility Solutions Inc., Chair of QHR Technologies Inc., and CEO of Wurldtech Security Technologies Inc. having previously held senior positions including Audit Chair and Director of TitanStar Properties Inc, Director of British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Board Advisor of ICBC, Chair and CEO of TeraSpan Networks Inc., COO of TIR Systems Ltd, COO of Mobile Data Solutions Inc., and CEO of Intrinsyc Software, Inc. Mr. McDonnell holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.
Mr. McGrath is an investor and corporate director. He also consults on strategic issues to major technology companies. Mr. McGrath is currently a Director and Audit Committee Chair of Photon Control Inc. Mr. McGrath is also currently a Director and Audit Committee Chair of Nanotech Security Corp., and has previously served as Lead Director and Audit Committee Chair of Symbility Solutions Inc. He is the former Chief Information Officer of Rogers Communications Inc. and former President of Rogers Shared Services. He was responsible for the team that restructured the alliance between Rogers and Microsoft in July 1999. Prior to his role at Rogers, Mr. McGrath was the Chief Information Officer of Canadian National Railway Company, responsible for the complete rebuild of its information technology capability, the restructuring of the company, and the development of the initial strategic review of the company’s future that led to privatization of the company. He was awarded the Chief Information Officer of the Year award in Canada in 1995, has served in the past on the advisory boards of a number of technology companies, including Compaq Computer Corporation and Lotus Development Corporation, and is a past Chair of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC). Mr. McGrath, a Chartered Accountant, is a graduate in Business Administration at Trinity College, Dublin.
Josef Vejvoda acts as a special advisor to K2 & Associates Investment Management Inc., a multi-strategy investment fund. Previously Mr. Vejvoda was a portfolio manager at K2 from August 2013 and became Chief Compliance Officer in March 2017 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in October 2018, until stepping back from administrative duties in March 2021 to focus solely on special projects. Mr. Vejvoda has over twenty-five years of extensive capital markets experience and has held senior management roles at a number of the country’s largest financial institutions, including Merrill Lynch Canada, National Bank Financial, and TD Securities. Mr. Vejvoda has served on numerous public company boards, including currently as a director of Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc., and has contributed to the realization of significant increases in shareholder value. Mr. Vejvoda graduated from Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Mr. Vejvoda has also earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM™) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors having achieved the ICD.D designation.
Richard Yoon is an accomplished and highly respected executive in the Wireless Telecom market with extensive experience across all aspects of the Telecommunications business, having spent the past 30 years working for such organizations as Bell, Clearnet and TELUS along with senior executive roles at Telecom equipment manufacturers at Huawei and at ZTE.
Prior to joining Redline Communications, Mr. Yoon was the CEO of ZTE Canada where he was responsible for developing and rebuilding terminal business partnerships with all the major Carriers in Canada. He also spearheaded the introduction of ZTE products in the open market by building partnerships with National Retailers, Distributors and Value Added Resellers.
Mr. Yoon has previously volunteered his time with several non-profitable organizations as a board member and as an advisor.
Dr. Amiee Chan is the President and CEO of Norsat International Inc. She has over 15 years of experience in executive management and research development in the satellite industry. Prior to her promotion to CEO, Dr. Chan served as Vice President of Operations. As the Director of Research and Development at Norsat International Inc. Dr. Chan produced several highly successful product lines that continue to be high revenue generators for the company. As a result of her strong entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Chan was awarded in 2008 the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Dr. Chan received her Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University where she majored in Strategy & New Ventures. She also holds an Electrical Engineering Ph. D. in Satellite Communications from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Canada Science and Technology Museum. She spearheads the Western Canadian branch of WIDS – Woman in Defense and Security. She also acts as a mentor in numerous organizations including Wired Woman Mentorship Program of Vancouver and the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology’s Ms. Infinity Program.
